Paul H. Wick is a Director and Managing Director of J. & W. Seligman & Co. Incorporated, Director of Seligman Advisors, Inc. and Seligman Services, Inc. and Head of the Seligman Technology Group. A team of investment professionals located in New York and Palo Alto, California, the Seligman Technology Group is responsible for the management of both public and private technology assets on behalf of the Firm’s clients. Mr. Wick is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Seligman’s flagship mutual fund, Seligman Communications and Information Fund. Established in 1983, Seligman Communications and Information Fund is one of the nation’s first technology mutual funds, and one of the largest. Mr. Wick has been at the helm of the Fund for 19 years, taking over management responsibilities in December 1989. Based on impressive results Seligman Communications and Information Fund has achieved during his tenure, he is recognized as a leading technology investor. Mr. Wick also manages Seligman Horizon US Communications and Information Fund, (a Luxembourg-based fund created specifically for non-US investors).
Mr. Wick began his investment career with Seligman in 1987 as a Portfolio Assistant. He was Portfolio Manager of Seligman Frontier Fund from 1991 through 1995 and named Portfolio Manager of Seligman Communications and Information Fund in 1989.
Mr. Wick, who has 20 years of investment management experience, specializes in the semiconductor and electronic capital equipment industries, as well as in the software and computer hardware industries, both domestically and abroad. He participated in Barron’s “Roundtable on Technology” for five consecutive years. Mr. Wick is featured regularly in the financial media, and is a sought-after speaker at technology and investor conferences.
Mr. Wick received a BA in Economics from Duke University and an MBA in Finance from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. He divides his time between Seligman’s New York and Palo Alto, California offices.
